Mid Air Capture
I took Rion for a walk before it got too warm this morning. As I took this photo with my camera phone, a hummingbird flew up to investigate (probably because of my red shirt) then turned to fly away.
The View Going Home
This panorama is a combination of several photos taken today with my Moto X phone camera. Google Photos stitched them together to make a panorama. I find it amazing that it made the panorama without me telling it to do so. Click on the photo to get a larger image.
Basking
For a short while the sun broke through this morning, allowing Rion to do his favorite morning activity (besides eating) of basking in the sunlight. We have all been sulking a bit because there has been so little sunshine recently. According to the weather station at the Air Force Academy, which closely resembles our micro-clime, we have had 9.7 inches of rain this May. The average amount to date is 0.32 inches.

A local weather forecaster explains that yes, we are having a very wet May, especially on the west side of Colorado Springs. In the link below, he explains how something called the Pacific Decadal Oscillation is leading to all this moisture.

White Upholstery
We actually received a respectable amount of snow this weekend, though nothing like those storms where the amount is measured in feet instead of inches.
