We planned to arrive at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry in time for the afternoon tour. The tour took nearly two hours and was worth the time spent. In this photo the docent is showing us how to pan for gold. There are a lot of hands on exhibit throughout the museum.
For many years, Jack and I have lived about five miles from the Western Museum of Mining and Industry. When we passed by it, one of us would mention that we really should go there. On Tuesday, we did.

Denver Art Museum allows non-flash photography for most of its exhibits. (However, getting an acceptable photo without a flash or tripod can be a challenge.) This was one of my favorite pieces from the Slight Of Hand special exhibit. I love the allusions to Aesop’s Fables.
