I dropped some grated cheese on the floor while I was making a quesadilla for lunch. I made sure it was scattered around, and called the dogs in to clean it up. It took them about three minutes to eat all the cheese, and another ten minutes to assure themselves that they hadn’t left any.

I woke up to the sound of the chinook this morning. At least they weren’t strong enough to dismantle the house, or even distress the Collie.

Today, the weather was fabulous. It was so beautiful that I threw the bareback pad on Hap and see if he was still absolutely the best bareback pony in Colorado.

Yesterday morning, it was cold enough for us to see ice bows not long after sunrise. I was amazed by how close they appeared.
