I thought it was bad when I went out to feed horses this evening and I saw Hap was standing on three legs behind the barn. I was sure he had broken his front right leg and the vet confirmed it when she came out about forty minutes later. He was humanely destroyed a few minutes later.
It really sucks. But as my friend D said, it would have sucked just as much if he had been 35 as 25.
I’m so sorry to hear. I know he was well loved.
So sad. I’m sorry, Elaine. Lovely photo.
Aw, handsome Hap. I’m so very sorry.
Elaine, I’m so sorry to hear about Hap.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I have tears. I know how much you loved him.
Such a hard loss – so sorry to read about it.
Elaine – I just saw this about Hap. I’m so sorry, and so sad. He was your first horse, which is so special, and I have a really good idea of how you are feeling. He was both lovely and beloved, and his gorgeous bod ( 🙂 ) and smooth gaits, and sweet personality were appreciated by all who met him, or better yet, had a chance to ride him.
How on earth did he break his leg??
You’re in my thoughts…
I’m so sorry about our friend Hap. He has been an acquaintance of mine for ever so long. And this must be a great, great grief for you.
I’m so very sorry to learn about Hap, Elaine. I know you loved him very much.
