For Christmas, a friend gave me a Page A Day calendar featuring origami instructions. I’ve been fascinated by origami since I was a small child, but have never pursued it seriously. I am enjoying the calendar very much so far, folding at least one model each morning. This is my favorite model so far. The calendar called it the pecking chicken, because one can make it move a bit as a puppet.

The library I volunteer at has origami every Saturday afternoon and it is a mulit-generational, very well attended activity. It’s yet another way to express yourself.

That looks like a fun project! Did you know you can do origami with towels too? It can be alot of fun. The cruise ships do it as a making-the-bed sort of thing… you come back from swimming or whatever and there is this monkey (or other animal) sitting on your bed made out of towels! LOL!
