One of the best I saw was about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.democraticunderground.com\/discuss\/duboard.php?az=view_all&amp;address=104x2682896\">cheap-labor conservatives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Work cheap or starve, a motto to live by.<\/p>\n<p>These cheap-labor conservatives should read the mission statement for the United States sometime. It&#8217;s right there in the first paragraph of the Constitution &#8211;\u00a0 after &#8220;We the People of the United States, in Order to&#8221;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>form a more perfect Union,<\/li>\n<li>establish Justice,<\/li>\n<li>insure domestic Tranquility,<\/li>\n<li>provide for the common defence,<\/li>\n<li>promote the general Welfare, and<\/li>\n<li>secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and ends &#8220;do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>About the only\u00a0mission they seem to care for is to provide for the common defence, because there is money to be made there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I read Paul Krugman&#8217;s\u00a0column on our future prosperity, and then found that Avedon had also read and commented on it along with some links to other commentors.
