{"id":421,"date":"2006-07-03T12:02:40","date_gmt":"2006-07-03T19:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stardel.com\/eg\/?p=421"},"modified":"2006-07-03T12:02:40","modified_gmt":"2006-07-03T19:02:40","slug":"liberal-truths-contd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stardel.com\/eg\/2006\/07\/liberal-truths-contd\/","title":{"rendered":"Liberal Truths (cont&#8217;d):"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">That no private property shall be      taken for public use, without just compensation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in all criminal prosecutions,      the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an      impartial jury of the Government and district wherein the crime shall have      been committed, said district shall have been previously ascertained by      law.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in all criminal prosecutions,      the accused shall be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in all criminal prosecutions,      the accused shall be confronted with the witnesses against him.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in all criminal prosecutions      the accused shall have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his      favor. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in all criminal prosecutions      the accused shall have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">in suits at common law, where      the value in controversy shall exceed a reasonable amount set by law, the      right of trial by jury shall be preserved,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">That no fact tried by a jury      shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court except in accordance to the      rules of the common law. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">excessive bail shall not be      required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">That excessive fines shall not      be imposed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">That cruel and unusual      punishments shall not be inflicted. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>That <span class=\"text1\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">the enumeration of certain      rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage      other rights retained by the people. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>That neither      slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist, except as a punishment for      crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted.<\/li>\n<li>That no      Government deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due      process of law.<\/li>\n<li>That no      Government deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection      of the laws.<\/li>\n<li>That      the right of citizens to vote shall not be denied or abridged on account      of race, color, sex, or previous condition of servitude.<\/li>\n<li>That      the right of citizens to vote in any primary or other election shall not      be denied or abridged by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other      tax.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That no private property shall be taken for public use, without just compensation.
