{"id":134,"date":"2005-04-05T15:01:14","date_gmt":"2005-04-05T22:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stardel.com\/eg\/?p=134"},"modified":"2005-04-05T15:01:14","modified_gmt":"2005-04-05T22:01:14","slug":"the-season-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stardel.com\/eg\/2005\/04\/the-season-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"The Season Begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I started OK on Sunday with Randy Johnson winning.<\/p>\n<p>I replaced Quiroz with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rototimes.com\/index.php?sport=bsball&#038;type=profile&#038;name=4615\">Josh Bard<\/a>, a back-up catcher for Cleveland,  and Ken Harvey with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rototimes.com\/index.php?sport=bsball&#038;type=profile&#038;name=1276\">Travis Lee<\/a>, starting first baseman for Tampa Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Why is a starting firstbaseman still available after the draft, you ask? Because he plays for Tampa Bay. And he was out for most of 2004 with a bad shoulder and it is always questionable whether an average player can make it back after sitting out for a season.  (People always seem to make allowances for the really good players to come back after an injured season. People are still making allowances for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rototimes.com\/index.php?sport=bsball&#038;type=profile&#038;name=158\">Ken Griffey Jr<\/a>, even after 4-5 years of injured seasons.
